Sports Leaders

Four, Year 5 are selected each year to become Sports Leaders.  Working with Miss Cooney, our PE leader, they began their journey at Old Trafford Cricket Ground, where they had a tour of the ground and listened to an inspiring speech by a former professional athlete.

Currently, they are busy planning to deliver a fun and interactive experience to Year 2 children at their upcoming Sports Leadership festival. This is just one of their roles in schools, alongside surveying pupil voice about the PE and Sport we offer; contributing to school displays and newsletters; as well as championing active and healthy lifestyles. This journey will culminate in the Sports Leaders leading an assembly about their role. Once completed, they return to Old Trafford to graduate.
