Is your child due to start Nursery or Reception in September 2024?

HEADLINE NEWS

We are proud to be named an Early Excellence Partner School in recognition of the school's commitment to providing an "exceptional" EYFS experience for our children.  From the leadership to the practice in the classroom, our school is now a centre for excellence that will be used to support the development of excellent EYFS practices across the nation.

A message from Mr Cash:

The selection of your child’s first school is one of the most significant points in their life as well as yours as a parent/carer.

As a father myself, I understand how important it is that you feel confident that the school you choose for your child will provide the same levels of care, nurture and support they have been used to at home as well as providing the very best rounded educational experiences for your child as they begin their school journey.

I am writing this letter today to summarise why we feel that we can provide your child with an exceptional level of education that is firmly rooted in our core belief that every child, regardless of background, is entitled to nothing short of the best educational experiences that are underpinned by high expectations and challenge for all.

As the Headteacher of our school, it is an honour and a privilege to lead our school community in achieving our aims.    All members of staff believe, wholeheartedly, that all children can, do and will learn and it is our job to ensure that they achieve the highest possible standards.  We believe that to provide the best educational experiences within the modern world, we need to constantly innovate and apply outstanding practice at all levels which is research-informed, effectively implemented and robustly monitored to ensure that we meet our aim of being the best school for your children.

Underpinning our drive for academic excellence, it is also our aim to guarantee that all of our learners are part of an outstandingly happy school environment, which prioritises our learners’ mental well-being and physical health alongside academic outcomes.

At Oldfield Brow we "Inspire the Exceptional" potential of all our our learners by getting to know them as individuals, holding the very highest expectations for them and supporting all learners to achieve these goals.  We prioitise mental health and wellbeing alongside academic excellence to ensure that your children can achieve well in all areas at school and gain the knowledge and attitudes to "thrive in a changing world" (School Vision, 2023)

Whether you have visited us before or have not even thought of Oldfield Brow as a choice for your child, I would encourage you all to contact our wonderful school, speak with others and myself and visit us before making this most important of decisions.

If you want your child to attend a school, that expects nothing short of the best for your children and ensures that every child gets it within in a brilliantly happy school environment, then please consider Oldfield Brow Primary School for your child.

I sincerely hope to be able to talk to you about our school and support you in this decision-making process and look forward to the day when we welcome you to our school as one of our fabulous families and wonderful learners.

With my very best wishes and kindest of regards,

Mr James Cash
