message from the headteacherNEW DATES FOR 2019 ARE NOW AVAILABLE ON 'UPCOMING EVENTS'.

Welcome back to a brand new term at Oldfield Brow. Please be aware that Friday 'Showing Assemblies' now begin at 2.40pm and not 2.30pm as advised in the list of dates sent home in September. Thank you.
Year 6
What a fantastic start to Year 6! The class have settled in very well and new rules are being followed! Our only class rule was decided on by the children, as they believe it covers all aspects of expectation in school.
"Treat others as we would wish to be treated ourselves".
We are getting to grips with the high expectations in behaviour as well as work, and children have done a lot of work on 'growth mindset' - involving not using phrases such as 'I can't do this' or 'this is good enough' and instead focusing on finding different strategies, striving to improve and understanding that making mistakes is how we learn.

Learning Goals
The Curriculum overview in the E-Bag will give a detailed breakdown of what we are covering this term.
