Year 6

As Easter comes upon us, we are working very hard in Year 6! I have sent home some booklets for holiday homework, and if you wish to help you child with marking and going over the corrections - the answer booklets can be found in the E-Bag! Super progress is being made and as well as SATs practise, we are looking forward to a range of topics including the Americas and film making!
In Numeracy we will be moving onto algebra, measures and ratio/proportion and in literacy we will be focusing on The Jungle Book - taking inspiration for writing, art, dance and music.

If you would like to do some extra practice at home on spelling - there is a fantastic new App for Iphones/ipads only called 'Spelling Shed' (£2.99) or the website http://spellingframe.co.uk/ (free) which you may find helpful!

PLease note - the Maths SATs Practice resource in the E-Bag has been updated to include previous 2017 questions - please have a look as it is very helpful!!

Learning Goals

One of the main targets for everyone in Year 6 is to become increasingly independent so that the transition to secondary school goes smoothly.
